When we started to expand our large-scale fix and flip business into multifamily, We very quickly began to see the path to financial freedom for our family.

As a real estate investor for over 24 years, I have experienced many highs and lows. I’ve learned that if you want something different, you must be prepared to do something different. At Revilo, we believe that path is investing in multi-family assets, and we intend to offer these opportunities to our current and future investors.

Whilst building our legacy, the goal has always been stability and financial freedom. Our company name, Revilo (Oliver backwards), is named after our son Oliver. At just 13 years old, Oliver is showing a keen interest in the business, and works actively to increase his knowledge. Our children are our why, which is something we believe everyone should ask themselves.

For many years, we have delivered double-digit returns to our long-time investors. Many of them, along with new investors are anxious to get into the multi-family asset class. Revilo Property Group is pleased to offer just that. We are here to help educate those who are interested to take full control of their investment portfolio by utilizing options such as converting a personal 401K to a self-directed IRA or exercising the 1031 exchange tax code through one of our opportunities.

Ryan Whitefield – President

Ryan Whitefield possesses experience of over two decades of working in Real Estate Development and Construction.  Ryan’s exposure covers both commercial and residential ventures, both in the U.K. where he was contracted to the top five homebuilders, and the U.S. where he has renovated and built over 500 homes. During his career, he has also worked on several high-profile developments in the U.S., such as Union Depot in St. Paul, Minnesota, and the newly constructed Minnesota Vikings Stadium, partnering with one of the largest contractors in the U.S. Ryan’s track record has garnered respect from fellow industry participants, further expanding and strengthening his network.

The extensive business and asset management skills that he brings cover mission-critical areas such as cost analysis, estimations, production, project scheduling & contracts. The depth of Ryan’s skillset ensures a sound approach coupled with a calculated decision-making process and provides added confidence to all parties when executing the investment strategy.

Jessica Whitefield – Head of Project Design

As an award-winning interior architect, Jessica is a master at ensuring that each property purchased reaches its full potential. She is an expert at understanding the latest trends and design standards specific to each market. Jessica plays a key role in implementing these standards to our portfolio, from revamping exteriors, to changing interior layouts, and deciding on interior finishes, she keeps our properties current and appealing to the market. With years of experience navigating the changing market trends on an international level, Jessica is passionate about creating living spaces that Revilo Property Group takes pride in.

Matthew Beneduci – Acquisition Manager

After graduating from Eckerd College on a four-year athletic scholarship, Matt decided to pursue his passion for real estate with a focus on investment acquisitions. Matt has a consistent track record of delivering high-quality investment opportunities through his underwriting expertise and ability to source distressed properties. Matt brings more than 5 years of investment real estate experience to Revilo and has helped acquire over $50MM in transaction volume. With his attention to detail and strategic approach to acquiring multi-family assets, Matt ensures Revilo gets exclusive investment opportunities that have been rigorously underwritten. In his free time, Matt enjoys practicing yoga & meditation, playing sports, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

Andrea Garcia – Operations manager

Andrea is a highly talented individual with many skill sets, and is a key asset to the team. She continuously goes above and beyond with everything she does. Initially, Andrea joined our team as a bookkeeper, and quickly developed into a project management role by displaying her great problem-solving and communication skills. Today, Andrea serves as Operations Manager which is fully integrated across all aspects of our company. Andrea has gained a wealth of knowledge and understanding of the complexities that our business presents, and she continues to handle our operations with integrity and attention to detail. In her spare time, Andrea loves returning to her native country of Columbia, spending time with her friends and family, traveling, and staying active.

Alfonso Bernal – Senior Superintendent

Alfonso holds 15 years of construction experience under his belt, spending 7 of those years working solely with our group. He has mastered his craft and learned a variety of skills after managing the maintenance of over 200 apartments across multiple buildings. Due to his work ethic, attention to detail, and enthusiasm to learn, Alfonso has continued to grow immense knowledge across all facets of the construction process. After years of reliable high-quality work, he quickly gained a good reputation amongst the industry and started managing his own crews to meet demand and continue his growth. Alfonso deploys many of these crews to travel the country working on our new projects. In addition, he also manages our hired contractors outside of his immediate crew, which provides consistency and transparency throughout the completion on all our projects across the board.

James Akin

James Akin – Chief Financial Officer

James has over 30 years of experience in building and leading finance teams in domestic companies of significant operating scale and complexity. He brings invaluable expertise as a CFO with hands-on experience in asset management, property management, funding, and investment activities.

Before joining our company, James was CFO of Vista Prairies Communities from 2002 to 2012. He was responsible for the complex finance, funding, and investment activities and profitability of 14 assisted, independent and memory care facilities, 8 skilled nursing home facilities, and 8 residential apartment buildings in various states, with an overall value of $140 million. James also acted as the project manager and provided oversight on behalf of investors on building construction of a $5 million expansion project. He improved financial stability by refinancing and selling various facilities over ten years totaling 50 million dollars of assets.

As CFO, Akin oversees the accounting, business support, financial planning and analysis, treasury, investor relations, internal audit, and tax functions at Revilo Property Group.

Maty Steenstra

Maty Steenstra – Investor Relations

Maty has a natural propensity for customer service and people skills. Her personality and enthusiastic attitude towards life makes it easy very easy to talk to her and in a short space of time, You feel like you have known her forever. Patience, perseverance and her attention to detail is some of Matys key attributes.

Matys love for real estate led her to becoming a licensed realtor in Florida, and she expanded that love to buying and partnering in multiple Investment properties with her husband Robyn. When they are not busy caring for their 5 children, or tending to patients where Robyn is a Doctor, They love volunteering in nursing homes and travelling, Especially to their native countries of Panama and Holland.

Oliver & Ava Whitefield – The Future

At just 14 years old, Oliver has organically found a passion for real estate. Oliver enjoys searching for properties that meet our criteria and has recently purchased his 3rd renovation property. When he is not burying his head in real estate books, or attending live real estate events, you will find him being a typical teenager, gaming with his friends, playing football, basketball, or soccer.

The 1031 Investor
Dave Foster

Dave has worked up and down the east coast of the United States in investment real estate markets. A degreed accountant with a Master’s in Management, he has taught numerous certified continuing education classes on basic and advanced 1031 strategies at local Realtor associations throughout the country and is a frequent guest of real estate brokerage firms looking to train their agents to strategically use 1031 Exchanges to benefit their business and their client’s bottom line.

Dave has over 20 years of experience in all phases of real estate investing from large-scale institutional and residential development to small boutique real estate investments such as historical and ecologically sensitive projects, fix-n-flips, rental portfolios, and vacation and resort property development and management. He specializes in discovering multiple ways for each investor to create portfolio-enhancing strategies using the power of the 1031 Exchange.

Dave is active on the board of the Colorado Online Virtual Academy, the premier college preparatory online charter school in the state of Colorado. A former college basketball player and beach volleyball rat, Dave was inducted into the Colorado Christian University Athletic Hall of fame in 2007. He and his family enjoy frequent travel to developing countries throughout Central America and the Caribbean to provide medical missions work but still struggle to master the Spanish language. Dave and his bride of 30 years, Vicki, and four sons make their home on the waters of West Florida and the Keys where they spend their free time sailing, diving for lobster, and sending enticing pictures of their adventures to the office.
